Blue Light Transilluminator
The simplest way to visualize bands is to use a transilluminator device. All blue light transilluminators use pure visible blue light as the excitation source, eliminating the need for dangerous ultraviolet radiation. However, considering the mutagenic properties of UV light and the carcinogenic nature of ethidium bromide, researchers sought an alternative method with comparable or even better efficiency and quality. Nowadays, the routine use of transilluminators with lights in the visible spectrum and safer dyes has become widespread, addressing fewer challenges. Denagene Tajhiz Company, a leading manufacturer in Iran, has produced various models of these devices for the market.
