Fluorescent colors are used for visualizing DNA bands. These colors are either attached to the phosphate groups of the DNA backbone or placed between the two strands. The DNA dye produced by Denagene Tajhiz Company is highly suitable for PCR product staining. This dye can bind to double-stranded DNA, single-stranded DNA, and RNA, and it provides a color-staining quality comparable to ethidium bromide. What has made this dye very popular is its very low carcinogenicity. It exhibits very good excitation in UV wavelengths as well as in the blue light range. For this reason, it is capable of being used in all types of gel documentation systems and transilluminators.
